MFMQ President
The MFMQ is 2 years old already! Although we are a young organization, I already see the positive impact of our group on the quality of care in maternal fetal medicine in Quebec. Two years is a short amount of time for an organization such as ours. Yet, we have developed COVID protocols and helped advance different projects within the MSSS, AOGQ, SOGC, FMSQ and others.

Congratulations to our group that is now celebrating its 2-year anniversary! MFMQ is still quite young and we have many wonderful adventures and projects to look forward to. It is with great pride and joy that I am taking on the mandate of vice-president in order to accompany Dr Codsi in her role as president as well as all of our administrative council members.
Who are we?
Specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) are obstetrician-gynecologists with subspecialty training in the management and treatment of high-risk maternal and/or fetal conditions. Maternal-Fetal medicine specialists develop an expertise in advanced obstetrical ultrasound, fetal therapy and the management of maternal diseases with high morbidity potentially requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Research, teaching and continuing medical development are other important facets of the practice of a maternal-fetal medicine specialist.
