It is with great pleasure that I assume the presidency of the MFMQ for the 6th year of our organization’s existence. As a member of our group’s continuing professional development committee from 2020-2025 and vice-president of the group last year, the presidency represents a wonderful continuity.

From the melting snow and budding leaves comes the promise of a new year, and with it, new goals and opportunities. This year I am humbled to be among them and further the vision of the MFMQ as Vice President.
And what vision do we have! Now in the 6th iteration of her existence, the MFMQ has built a strong foundation and continues to steamroll forward.
Who are we?
Specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) are obstetrician-gynecologists with subspecialty training in the management and treatment of high-risk maternal and/or fetal conditions. Maternal-Fetal medicine specialists develop an expertise in advanced obstetrical ultrasound, fetal therapy and the management of maternal diseases with high morbidity potentially requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Research, teaching and continuing medical development are other important facets of the practice of a maternal-fetal medicine specialist.
