From the melting snow and budding leaves comes the promise of a new year, and with it, new goals and opportunities. This yearI am humbled to be among them and further the vision of the MFMQ as Vice President.

And what vision do we have! Now in the 6th iteration of her existence, the MFMQ has built a strong foundation and continues to steamroll forward. Sewing unity among the 4 MFM university centres in Quebec, our leaders are working on incredible undertakings with the aim of advancing high-risk pregnancy care in the province. From spearheading research projects to unifying practice standards, our members seek to provide the best evidence-based care for women of every background in their pregnancies. This has been possible through the collaboration of our members with well-executed organization and regular meetings, and ending the year with our annual conference.

These feats have stemmed from the creative and motivated minds of our members, and we are always looking for more insightful ideas.

I would like to thank each member of the MFMQ for the hard work they’ve put in these past years and support they continue to provide in their pivotal roles. With excitement and a healthy dose of trepidation, I can only hope to follow Dre Marie-Eve Roy-Lacroix’s footsteps in my new role as she transitions into the role of President of our association.
